TRAVEL

Where is this place?

We’ll be honest; Mendocino is not the easiest place to get to, so we understand if you can’t make it. If you decide to meet us in this magical corner of the world, you’ll be rewarded with old growth redwoods and a beautiful slice of ocean coastline.

How do I get there?

Cuffey’s Cove Ranch is a 3.5-hour drive from San Francisco. After flying in, you’ll want to rent a car to begin your California road trip. Take the 101 north until you reach the 128 at Cloverdale. The beginning of this two-lane highway is twisty-turny, but as it mellows out you’ll be greeted with an easier cruise through Anderson Valley, which is full of superb wineries.

As you continue toward the coast, you’ll find yourself surrounded by beautiful redwoods until you reach the ocean. You’ll take a left to travel south on Highway 1 until you reach Cuffey’s Cove!

Please plan to make the drive during daylight hours! You’ll be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery and have a much easier time navigating the windy roads. Plan for a 4-hour drive from SF/Oakland, and if you have the time, consider spending a night or two along the way on your journey north. If you’re ambitious, you could take Highway 1 up the coast (we can recommend places to stay along the route!).

Airports:

• San Francisco (SFO) or Oakland (OAK) - Larger airports, about the same distance from Elk.
• Sonoma County Airport (STS) - Small, regional airport. From here, you’re an easier 2-hour drive from Elk. Direct flights from Denver, Minneapolis, Portland, Seattle, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles.

If you’ll be joining us, please book your accommodations ASAP (we cannot stress this enough!). The Mendocino coast is a popular tourist destination, summer is peak season, and it’s a holiday weekend.

Camping

Are you one of those camping folks? We are able to host campers at Cuffey’s Cove and will have a few glamping tents available, so if you’d like to stumble into your tent after dancing the night way, you can! If you’re interested in camping on the property the night of July 4th and/or July 5th, please let us know. There is an outdoor shower, and we will have portable bathrooms available both nights.

Getting Around:

There is ample parking at the venue, but we would prefer if you didn’t drive home the night of our wedding. We will be coordinating a shuttle service for the wedding on July 5th. Once you’ve booked your accommodations, please let us know where you’ll be staying so we can best determine pick up and drop off points.

Safe travels & we can’t wait to see you all!
